We’re making a movie!

Theatre Onset has been very fortunate to receive grant funding through the Mumbulla Community Foundation and their donors to help with a short film project for young people in 2023.  We would love to hear from interested people of high school age, preferably to make a start in January 2023 depending on participant availability.  The project has 3 components, which will have different timings:

1. Script development – a series of brainstorming sessions with Director, David Stocker, to develop the storyline and create the script.  Jan-early March
2. Rehearsal – casting and rehearsing (in theatre style to create the actors’ ensemble).  March – April
3. Filming – time, duration and location/s TBC with Sam’s Caravan – April-June

Participants can be involved in all 3 components or just one or two.  They can be involved in behind the scenes or in front of the camera. The project is flexible and we would love to hear from a diverse range of young people.  Experience is of course, helpful, but this will also be a great place to learn about film, filmmaking acting and everything that goes into making a short film.

Apologies for sending this out so late in the year when silly season has already begun but we would love to make a start in January 2023 with the script development part of the project.
